Jason Barmasse
Associate Attorney
Jason focuses on estate planning, from the straightforward to the complex.
He advises clients on advanced tax planning strategies involving federal, state and local taxes, as well as how to navigate legal issues and complicated family dynamics.
Jason received his undergraduate degree from Loyola Marymount University, while also serving as a player/captain of the LMU baseball team. Jason obtained his J.D. degree and graduated magna cum laude from Thomas Jefferson School of Law, where he was a two time finalist in the National Baseball Arbitration Competition.
Jason began his legal career in civil litigation, handling cases in a multitude of legal fields including: construction defect, manufacturing defect, labor and employment, tort liability, and criminal defense.
Determined to find a field of law that better enabled him to fulfill his clients’ wishes — and without the adversarial nature of litigation — Jason left civil litigation in favor of estate planning. He founded his own estate planning law firm and then moved to an active estate planning firm prior to joining Soffer Law Group.
Outside of work, Jason enjoys golfing, and spending time with his wife, two children, and dog.
